Mint Beach/Market Bag

I had fun working on this mint/chocolate brown beach bag. I used Caron Acrylic yarn for my bags. I love how well they wash and stay in shape and how easy it is to take care of them. The little detail on the front side of this bag is just a little flip over, with no function at all, just for looks. To bring the brown up color all the way up to the handle I decided to wrap the edges of the handles and the top of the bag with the chocolate brown yarn. I really like how this bag came out. This bag is now available to my Etsy store All About My Crafts here

Steel Grey Market Bag with Baby Pink lace Accent

I made this bag for the mom of my daughters boyfriend. Her son assured me that his mom loves pink. But since pink is a very fragile color and shows dirt easily, I opted to use the steel grey for the body of the bag and the baby pink as an accent. This way this bag can be worn carefree.

Patriotic Fingerless Gloves

Just finished another couple of fingerless gloves. If you love to show your patriotism, than these are perfect for you. You can choose between the camouflage or the American flag ones.

For the camouflage ones, I decided to crochet the wrist warmers to use a lace design and the hand part I decided on the traditional double crochet stitch.

The American flag ones are knitted. The striped part goes up to cover the bottom part of your hand, so even if you wear a sweater or jacket that coveres the writ part, the stripes will still show.

You can find both of these at mt Etsy store here

My Newest Passion

My newest passion is working on fingerless gloves. I just love how they look and how they feel.
Here in California, we don't really need to wear them, unless it's cold for a few days in winter. They come in really handy when driving and the stirring wheel is either very hot or freezing cold.

These I made from some left over yarn I had left from way back. I love to crochet and the shell stitch is my all time favorite. you can find these at my Etsy Shop here

When I saw this yarn in the store, I could not resist, I had to buy it and of course create some more fingerless gloves. If you like to purchase them, you can find them at my Etsy Store here

These winterwhite fingerless gloves with the steel grey accent can be worn 2 different ways: one in which the braid is on top, or hidden in your palm, with a clean and smooth looking knitting stitch.

Christmas in Style

I had so much fun working on these Santa fingerless gloves. Was toying with the idea of making them for a bit over a year, until I finally figured out how exactly I wanted to make them. The cuff is crocheted and the hand and thumb part is knitted. I've been looking for some time for just the right white yarn to use. Wanted to make the white look fluffy and soft. When I came along the chenille baby yarn, I knew I found what I was looking for. It looks like the gloves are topped with snow, doesn't it?

You can find these gloves made to order at my Etsy shop All About My Crafts

And since I was adventures enough creating Santa gloves, I took my creativity a bit further and created this little Santa Toddler Crown, which you can find here.

Brown/Teal Market Bag

Originally I made this market bag to sell at my Etsy store, but my daughter liked it so much that she put it on her birthday wish list. I like the combination of soft teal and dark brown. It reminds me of a tropical beach.

Striped Shopping Bag

I had so much fun creating this bag. Had some loose end yarns that I needed to use up somehow. The wrap around handle makes it possible for this bag to hold a watermelon with ease.

For this flower embellishment I used some vintage lace and a vintage dress buttong, that I found in my mother in laws old sewing box.

Here is a close up how I finished the wrap around handle, to make it look like a strap, finished of with vintage lace and vintage dress button.

When I added this bag to my Etsy shop, it was sold out in less than 2 hours.
Even so it is not available anymore, you may like to check out my little store for other items https://www.etsy.com/shop/AllAboutMyCrafts

Crochet Market/Book Bag

This cute little bag is perfect for either grocery shopping, as a market bag or book bag. It stretches downward, but not sideways. You will find it is very sturdy and easily carries quiet a heavy load.

The handles are large enough to carry the bag comfortable on your shoulder.

Detail close up of the little green stripe in the middle of the bag.

Fall Fashion Gift

Just recently I created this gift as a gift exchange with one of the Facebook groups I am a member of. I really like how it all came together and how well the colors worked with each other.

Here is what I made:

1 infinity scarf that wraps nicely twice around your neck

a pair of fingerless gloves

and a cup holder, to prevent your fingers from getting burned and keeping your hot beverage a tad bit longer hot

Quilts and Afghan

I made this Hexagon quilt in 1989. I never made a quilt before, so this was a massive project with over 3.000 hexagons, all assembled by hand. Truly a labor of love. The wall hanging quilt I made a few years later, all machine pieced and hand quilted.

This afghan I made to shortly after I finished the big California King Size Quilt. Love Granny Squares :)

Baby Girl Afghan

Made this baby blanket and sold it on ebay. A few years ago I made one similar to this one as a gift for a baby girl. I added ribbon around the edging and created ribbon bows on the corners. It came out pretty good.

American Flag Bag

From the left over yarn I made this American Flag bag. It is a nice bag that can be used when going to the beach or shopping. It is big and holds a lot of item, for example it would easily hold 2-3 beach towels.

This bag  is SOLD OUT at my Etsy store All About My Crafts

American Flag Afghan

Since I always made things for my daughter, my son often felt left out. I am mean really, what is there that you can do for boys? For a few years he has been bugging me to make an afghan for him, but we could never agree on the design. One day he came and asked if I could make him an American Flag afghan, which of course was very doable. Here it is at last, the finished project. I was already told many time that he will treasure forever, which just warms my heart, because I know all this waiting finally paid of.

The whole afghan is done in double crochet stitches. The number stars of course have a meaning to me and my son, which I will not disclose for personal reasons.
